FERRY
This is the ferry that travels between Hong Kong "Central" and Kowloon to the north. This particular ferry has been traveling to and from since 1958.

CEREMONIAL FIRES
The "peeps" here burn paper goods as offerings to the dead. These paper goods are made by hand and are all fake toy like items such as money, business suits, cars, cigarettes, etc. These are items they want to pass along to their ancestors in the afterlife. These "fires" are very common all over the island.
SHAME ON HOLLYWOOD ROAD
Vandals attacked these statues on Hollywood Road. This is extremely uncommon here. I thought I was back in Redwood City for a moment!

KATHLEEN'S ROOFTOP BIRTHDAY PARTY
Kathleen's (29th... :o) birthday was celebrated on a rooftop in Central with some good friends Mark & Karen, Neil and Marius (picture taker). I decorated the table for a little party atmosphere and we heard the fireworks from afar as the Chinese celebrated as well... National day. A special thanks to Karen for the cake!
